Bug FixesInstallationVersion 2009(Windows Vista/XP/2000) You can install all of your LabVIEW products—including the VI Analyzer Toolkit—using the LabVIEW 2009 Platform DVDs. You can find installation instructions for the VI Analyzer Toolkit along with activation instructions in the following locations:
[*]LabVIEW Release Notes, which are available in your LabVIEW software kit.
[*]LabVIEW 2009 Platform DVDs Readme, which is available on the top-level of LabVIEW Platform DVD 1.
To request additional LabVIEW 2009 Platform DVDs, refer to the National Instruments Web site.(Mac OS X) Complete the following steps to install the LabVIEW 2009 VI Analyzer Toolkit for Mac OS X.NoteSome virus detection programs interfere with the installer. Disable any automatic virus detection programs before you install. After installation, check your computer for viruses and enable any virus detection programs you disabled.
[*]Insert and browse to the LabVIEW 2009 VI Analyzer Toolkit installation CD and open LabVIEW2009VIAnalyzer.mpkg located under the LabVIEW_2009\Mac OS X directory.
[*]Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Complete the following steps to uninstall the LabVIEW 2009 VI Analyzer Toolkit for Mac OS X.
[*]During installation, the VI_Analyzer_2009_Uninstall.sh uninstallation script is created in the same folder as your version of LabVIEW.
[*]Drag the uninstall script to the prompt in a Terminal Window. Press Return and follow the instructions provided by the script.
[*]After uninstalling the VI Analyzer Toolkit, you must manually delete the uninstallation script.
(Linux) Complete the following steps to install the LabVIEW 2009 VI Analyzer Toolkit for Linux.
[*]Log into the system as root.
[*]Insert the LabVIEW 2009 VI Analyzer Toolkit installation CD. Use mount /mnt/cdrom to mount the CD. On some systems, the CD mounts automatically.
[*]To change the current directory to the mounted CD, enter the following command:
cd /mnt/cdrom
[*]To run the installation script, enter the following command:
./INSTALL
If you encounter the following message: "bad interpreter: Permission denied", the CD may not have mounted with executable permissions. To work around this, enter the following command:
/bin/sh ./INSTALL
Version 1.1.1 for LabVIEW 8.6VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.1.1 is compatible with LabVIEW 8.6 on Windows. If you want to use the VI Analyzer Toolkit on Mac OS X or Linux, you must install VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.1. (Mac OS X) Complete the following steps to install the VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.1 for Mac OS X.NoteSome virus detection programs interfere with the installer. Disable any automatic virus detection programs before you install. After installation, check your computer for viruses and enable any virus detection programs you disabled.
[*]Insert and browse to the LabVIEW VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.1 installation CD and open VI_Analyzer1.1.pkg located under the LabVIEW_8.0-8.5\Mac OS X directory.
[*]Select Continue to run a program to determine if the VI Analyzer Toolkit can be installed on your system.
[*]Follow the instructions that appear on the screen and continue to the Select Destination dialog box.
[*]In the Select Destination dialog box, click Choose and select the version of LabVIEW (8.0 or later) you want to install the VI Analyzer to.
NoteYou must select the Choose button for a proper installation. If you do not select a location where LabVIEW is installed or you select a non-compatible version of LabVIEW, the installation will not complete.
[*]After you select the destination directory, click Continue to complete the installation.
Complete the following steps to uninstall the VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.1 for Mac OS X.

Version 1.0 for LabVIEW 7.xYou must install VI Analyzer Toolkit 1.0 to work with LabVIEW 7.x. The installation process for version 1.0 is very similar to the process for version 1.1 except that you launch the installer from the appropriate OS directory under the LabVIEW_7.x directory of your CD.Using the VI Analyzer ToolkitAfter you install the VI Analyzer Toolkit, select Tools»VI Analyzer»Analyze VIs to run the VI Analyzer. You also can use the VI Analyzer VIs located on the Functions palette.
