2 NI software is signed with a SHA-256 certificate. Windows 7 SP1, Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 require Microsoft updates to support SHA-256. Refer to Microsoft KB3033929 for more information about how to install this security update.

Installation Instructions(Windows)You can install all of your LabVIEW products—including the Control Design and Simulation Module—using the LabVIEW 2016 Platform media. Refer to the LabVIEW Installation Guide on the LabVIEW Platform media for installation instructions and system requirements.To request additional LabVIEW Platform media, refer to the NI website.The LabVIEW Platform media does not include the Control Design and Simulation Module (64-bit). To install the Control Design and Simulation Module (64-bit), visit ni.com/info and enter the Info Code lvcdsmdownload to download the software. You also can request the LabVIEW 2016 (64-bit) media, which includes limited support for 64-bit modules and toolkits, from the NI website.NoteIf you purchased this product with an NI Software Suite or NI Product Bundle, use the installation media that shipped with your purchase to install this product.(OS X)Complete the following steps to install the Control Design and Simulation Module on OS X:
[*]Insert the Control Design and Simulation Module installation media and open NI LabVIEW 2016 Control Design and Simulation Module 64-bit.pkg located under the Mac OS X subdirectory.

[*]Insert the Control Design and Simulation Module installation media. Use mount /mnt/cdrom to mount the media. On some systems, the media mounts automatically.
[*]To change the current directory to the mounted media, enter the following command according to the Linux operating system on which you run the Control Design and Simulation Module:

cd /mnt/cdrom/Linux_32-bit or cd /mnt/cdrom/Linux_64-bit
[*]To run the installation script, enter the following command:

To uninstall the Control Design and Simulation Module on Linux, enter the following command:

LabVIEW 2016 Control Design and Simulation Module and later will not install or run on an unsopported OS. You cannot deploy or distribute applications that use the LabVIEW 2016 Control Design and Simulation Module to an unsupported OS.
