System RequirementsIn addition to the system requirements for the LabVIEW Development System, the Sound and Vibration Toolkit/Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite has the following requirements:

NOTE: Sound and Vibration Toolkit and Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite are supported in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module

[*]NI-DAQmx 9.7.5 or later installed for NI-DAQmx support
Refer to the LabVIEW Readme for additional system requirements and supported operating systems for LabVIEW 2013.Installation InstructionsYou must be logged in with administrator privileges to install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite. Note the following consideration when installing these products:
[*]You cannot install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2013 on a computer that has the Order Analysis Toolkit 2.1 or earlier installed. You must purchase and install the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 2013 to use order analysis functionality with the Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2013.
Installing from the LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVDYou can install all of your LabVIEW products—including the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite—using the LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVDs. You can find installation and activation instructions in the LabVIEW Release Notes, which are available in your LabVIEW software kit.To request additional LabVIEW 2013 Platform DVDs, refer to the National Instruments Web site.Note: If you purchased this product with an NI Software Suite or NI Product Bundle, use the installation media that shipped with your purchase to install this product.Installing from the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite DVDComplete the following steps to install the Sound and Vibration Toolkit or the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite:
[*]Disable any automatic virus detection programs before installation. Some virus detection programs interfere with the installation program.
[*]Insert the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite DVD and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

How to Use NI Software with Microsoft Windows 8When you install National Instruments software on Microsoft Windows 8, you will notice a few additional tiles on the Start screen, including shortcuts to NI application software products such as NI LabVIEW, Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), and the new NI Launcher.Using NI LauncherNI Launcher helps you find and launch installed NI products. It provides you with a method of finding NI products similar to the Start menu in previous versions of Microsoft Windows. To use NI Launcher, click the NI Launcher tile on the Start screen. NI Launcher launches the desktop and opens a menu containing a list of NI products. Click any NI product to launch it.
NoteMAX does not appear as a desktop shortcut when installed on Microsoft Windows 8. You can launch MAX either from the Start screen or from within NI Launcher.
