    New Features and Changes
The Electrical Power Suite 2014 includes the following new features and changes:
    • Advanced VIs—Use the Advanced VIs located on the Power Measurement palette to perform electrical power measurement using integral-cycle voltage and current signals and to perform harmonic analysis using resampled integral-cycle voltage and current signals. The VIs on the Basic Measurement palette in previous versions moved to the Power Measurement palette in the Electrical Power Suite 2014.
    • Synchrophasor VIs that Support IEEE Std C37.118.1-2011, IEEE Std C37.118.1a-2014, and IEEE Std C37.118.2-2011—Use the VIs located on the Synchrophasor palettes, both on the RT target and on the FPGA target, to perform synchrophasor measurement and to build and parse the four formats of synchrophasor message frames: data frame, configuration frame, header frame, and command frame. The VIs for measuring synchrophasors are in compliance with IEEE Std C37.118.1-2011 and IEEE Std C37.118.1a-2014. The C37.118 Frame VIs build and parse synchrophasor message frames for real-time communication of synchrophasor measurement data between phasor measurement units (PMUs) and phasor data concentrators (PDCs) as defined in IEEE Std C37.118.2-2011. The following VIs in the Electrical Power Suite 2014 replaced VIs in previous versions:
