视觉论坛的各种NI资源，除了视觉相关的模块有使用外，大部分的都不会使用，仅提供资源不提供技术支持。资源的下载地址一般会同时提供NI官方和百度网盘的地址。某些工具包NI地址失效或没有NI地址，只能使用百度网盘地址；如果百度网盘地址失效过期，可联系论坛客服更新。NI的服务器在美国，有时候速度很慢或下载容易出错，这样会造成安装时各种错误而无法安装。建议在下载完成后，对下载资源做校验和(NI一般会提供MD5或SHA256等)验证，与官方或视觉论坛提供的校验和对比，一致就可以安装；如不一致，则需要重新下载。视觉论坛早期下载上传的资源，基本上都是正常下载的资源；2019后下载的资源，都与NI的正确校验和对比过，保证是正确的资源才上传到百度网盘。校验和工具下载地址：文件Hash计算器FHash，文件校验和验证下载文件正确性验证，MD5值计算、SHA1值计算、SHA256值计算、CRC32值计算http://visionbbs.com/thread-26524-1-1.html

Uninstalling NI Switch Executive

For Windows 2000/NT/Me/9x, complete the following:

• Open the Control Panel from the Start\Settings\Control Panel Menu and select Add\Remove Programs.
• Select NI Switch Executive from the list provided and click Add\Remove.
• Repeat for other applications you want to remove.

Known IssuesniSE_OpenSession and niSE Open Session.vi Memory Leak

The LabVIEW VI "niSE Get Ivi Device Session.vi" leaks a small amount of memory each time it is called. The memory will be freed when LabVIEW exits. Try to avoid calling this function multiple times if it can be avoided.

Instrument Drivers

If you install NI Switch Executive without having previously installed NI-SWITCH, it is possible that the NI-SWITCH VI's might not get installed for LabVIEW. To workaround this problem, install NI-Switch from the CD that came with your hardware before installing NI Switch Executive.

"DLL Not Found" - Microsoft Visual Basic

If you are using the SCXI-1127 in multiplexer mode, there are a few anomalies exposed by NI Switch Executive. First, the SCXI-1127 supports different wire modes (1, 2, or 4 wires) as configured through NI-DAQ. Through NI Switch Executive, however, you may only use it with 2 wire channels. Second, the list of channels retrieved from the instrument driver includes all of the channel names as though it was configured as a 1 wire switch. Because of this, half of the channels may appear valid in NI Switch Executive but actually are not. Consult the SCXI-1127 hardware reference manual and NI-SWITCH user manual for a list of which channels are valid 2 wire channels. In NI Switch Executive you will need to ignore those channels which are not valid. This behavior will be fixed with a future NI-SWITCH release.

Installation failure on Windows 95 and NT

The IVI configuration of an IVI switch is read at the time that the switch is added to the NI Switch Executive Virtual Device. If changes are made to the IVI configuration, such as creating virtual channels or changing default setup to make some channels come up as source or configuration channels, those changes will not automatically be reflected in NI Switch Executive. To get NI Switch Executive to recognize the change you must remove the IVI switch from the virtual device and then re-add it. The preferred manner for modifying source and configuration channel attributes is via the Channels panel in Measurement & Automation Explorer. Doing so will avoid such hassles.

Documentation Errata

The online help for NI Switch Executive is the most complete and up to date source for product information. There were some minor documentation issues found in some of the printed materials after they returned from the printer. That errata is documented below.

• On pages 4 and 5 of the Quick Reference Guide, the Note section should read:
  
  • Note: The channel on either end of the bracketed list must not be:
    
    • Marked as a source channel (one or the other is valid)
    • A configuration channel
      
  • Note: Any channel within a route specification string that is not an endpoint must either be a configuration channel or must be hardwired to an endpoint.
    
• On page 6 of the Quick Reference Guide, some error codes are not listed. See the online help for a complete list.
